The Payroll Compliance Analyst will be responsible for understanding payroll laws across various countries and ensuring that we are following them appropriately across the EMEA region. It involves managing and ensuring that our processes for payroll and external vendors are compliant and all related tax and regulatory authorities and instances are processed as well aligned with the regulations.


What You’ll Do

    Undertake research to identify legislative updates impacting payroll compliance across EMEA region
  • Build partnerships and gain expert advice from the external counsel consultant on the matters relating to taxation share awards i.e., restricted stock units, options, and stock purchase plans
  • Monitor, develop and maintain a repository of all the relevant local legislation pertaining to taxation of the share awards and other benefits in kind via the payroll
  • Provide timely risk/impact assessment to the payroll manager on account of the changes in the local legislation
  • Work closely with the payroll teams, providing support and guidance, and continuous training on areas of Payroll Compliance.
  • Design, develop, implement, and execute metrical data controls on payroll data to ensure compliance with tax and social security compliance
  • Work with key stakeholders in the Payroll, HR, Benefits, and taxation teams to ensure Payroll Compliance is established for any new country implementation.
  • Interact closely with the Global compliance and audit teams to provide management reporting and metric and use these in the effective monitoring of identified Compliance risks.
  • Develop and strategize compliance tools to track all regular statutory requirements, working closely with Payroll teams to complete tasks promptly.
  • Review internal and external reports providing remediation plans and working with stakeholders to close the identified risks and issues.
What You’ll Bring
  • Extensive experience in Employment tax or Payroll experience in EMEA (specifically in Germany)
  • Knowledge of EMEA payroll, employment tax and social security legislation
  • Strong research skills including analysis of information from various sources
  • High working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated with ability to take a project from beginning to end with some direction, independently able to manage projects
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to dive deep into details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
  • Fluent in German and English in both written and verbal communication.
