Responsibilities:

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into a coherent and engaging narrative for documentary and commercial projects.
  • Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand the vision and objectives of the project.
  • Provide post-production input during the storyboarding and pitching process.
  • Adapt to both offline and online edit workflows, depending on the project requirements.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions from stakeholders while maintaining the artistic integrity of the project.
  • Efficiently manage and organize storage of media assets, including video, audio, and graphics.
  • Optimize audio levels, enhance sound quality, and synchronize audio with visual elements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest editing techniques, software, and industry trends to deliver high-quality results.
  • Adhere to project deadlines, manage time effectively, and be adaptable to changing project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in documentary and commercial editing.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
  • Excellent storytelling skills, with a deep understanding of narrative structure and pacing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with directors, producers, and team members.
  • Experience in providing post-production input during storyboarding and pitching processes is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of both offline and online edit workflows.
  • Familiarity with media asset management systems and organisation of project files.
  • Sound editing skills and the ability to enhance audio quality.
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest editing techniques, software advancements, and industry trends.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year

Benefits:

Supplemental pay types:

  • London, W1D 4UH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Video editing: 2 years (preferred)
