KAEFER Oy is a modern service company specialised in all branches of insulation technology as well as turn-key solutions for the shipbuilding newbuilding and refurbishment industries, both interior and exterior areas. The head office of KAEFER Oy is located in Rusko, Finland.
We have an opening for a Purchaser / Senior Purchaser in our shipbuilding purchase team in Rusko. If you are an active, enthusiastic, detail-oriented person with good social skills, this job might be for you.
The responsibilities and main duties of Senior Purchaser:
All work tasks of a Project Purchaser
Purchasing process including material calculations, RFQs and purchase orders, and overall documentation within the project schedule timeline and project budget
Material change coordination, architect meetings
Development of the supplier pool and of the purchase process
Guidance of Purchasers
The responsibilities and main duties of Purchaser:
Helping the Senior Purchaser during the RFQ phase, creating RFQ comparisons
Preparing purchase orders for all ongoing projects
Compiling of material books and certificates
Contacting suppliers
Delivery coordination
The ideal candidate:
Has experience from purchasing within the shipbuilding industry
Is familiar with the pool of suppliers used
Understands the purchasing processes and practices
Fluently uses basic office programmes, preferably also AutoCad
Is an active person who wants to share their knowledge OR
Is a modest person and keen to learn
Speaks English
For both positions, a degree in engineering, interior design or trade/marketing will provide a good base.
If you already have some experience from shipbuilding, this is a great opportunity to take your (almost) first steps within purchases and to learn about materials, processes and shipbuilding in general.
If you are already a professional shipbuilding purchaser, your senior level knowledge would be utilised in the many ongoing projects and for the benefit of our Purchasers.
